We love customer demos!

Today was another exciting day at work. We again did what we do best, super excite the customer with the pace and quality with which we work. I can proudly say that what most of our competitors achieve in a month, we deliver in a weeks time. That is the commitment and passion GirnarSoft's team has for deliverables. We set aggressive goals for ourselves and relish achieving them before time.

At the last moment just before the demo, there has to be some element of rush. Today was no different, we were demoing 6 projects to our customer and had made rapid progress in all the projects since the last time we demo'ed stuff. (Last time means last Friday, thats the pace at which we work). In 1 of those 6 projects the work was completed, but we were not able to put up the webpage live on the demo servers. There was abit of panic and as I was talking about the progress on the other projects and demoing them, one team was quickly working on the live servers to put the page up. I am sure they must have been going through nail biting emotions to get the page up asap for the demo. They finally put the page up and all the pages were coming out with empty data. The testing on the local servers was all fine but on the demo servers there was no data. Within a few minutes of debugging, on the live demo server the team realized that the database was missing a lot of data. Quickly they exported a sql dump and filled up the missing tables and voila! we were ready with the demo just in time. Things went smoothly after that and it was yet another great demo with the 'wow' and 'awesome' experience for the customer.

I was reminiscent of the night in Netherlands when I was sitting in a hotel room at client site and working for a BIG demo we had to give the next morning. We had accomplished what we had promised to the client in that phase, but were trying to do extra stuff to create a 'wow' factor with the client. I was trying to make an optimizer component work with the team in India also helping me out in the implementation. We were up the entire night and the subsequent morning when the world woke up, the customer had a working version of the optimizer on his machine. The demos went great and GirnarSoft's mantra reflected in its work. 'Exceed customer expectations'.

Keep up the good work everyone. We have all the ammunition to win all the battles that are waging at various fronts. Together we can and we will do it.

Ricky
