It's one of the dreadful thing that could happen to the traffic of your website. Getting banned by search engines is a kind of penalization of a deceptive act done by the webmaster in order to improve his ranking. So you should better not think to cheat the spider !!

1- Avoid bad linking :
Try not to link to "bad ones" like adult sites, gambling sites and such. Especially when it has no relationship with your context. You have to manage your visitor's input like remarks and outlaw any type of violating words or those who try to spam you affiliated to adult content in a way to make a group of keywords thus the spider will regard it as adult site and ban it!

2- Duplicate content :
Search engines can get too stern with copyright violation particularly if somebody has claimed that you are employing his content. Even if you are planning to give a quot , do put quotation marks (") and don't overstate.

3- Keyword spamming :
If you try to cheat the spider, it will penalize you !! Some people try to intermingle keywords with the background of their design in such a way that it's readable by spiders only when they come to look into keywords content. Another way of spamming can lead to Sneaky Redirects. A sneaky redirect is one that effectively shows different content to the user and a bot, and that's basically what this would be doing. Isnt it Annoying? That's why search engines get too stern about it.

If you want to boost up your ranking you have to do it in the right way. Any deceptive acts will put an end to your website growth !
