PageRank Behaviour

This article explains how to optimize distribution of PageRank on your site. We will get to some of the unique properties of PageRank and how certain changes to your site, the PageRank distribution.

ADD LINKS TO IMPORTANT PAGES :
Many SEOs and developers focus too heavily on incoming links from external sites, and we neglect the links that we have complete control over - our internal links! It is no coincidence that a website on the homepage of the rule the highest PageRank value. The high level of PR is not only incoming connections from the outside. It is also because any page on a Web site usually links to the homepage. Most sites have a number of important sites, earning high rankings for relevant terms - not just the home page.
Thus emphasize the important page by increasing the number of pages that link to it. The increase in pagerank to the important page is accompanied by a decrease in pagerank to the other pages.

SUBTRACT LINK FROM UNIMPORTANT PAGES :
If you own a website to show the unimportant pages on its Web site, they will probably try to tell you that all your pages are important. Of course, they are provided with a definition of "significance", which offers its on-site users, but probably not to the people who start at search engines. For the purposes of PageRank sculpting, we need a definition of utility, revolves around a search engine, especially Google. Google wants to rank pages, regardless valuable to Google users. In other words, if a user in a query, they are looking for something specific, and Google wants the user to perform a click.
For example, if a user searches for Mahindra Xylo, Google wants to deliver Mahindra's page about Mahindra Xylo--not the car prices in india home page or their sitemap or any other page that would require the user to click unnecessarily.

So our definition of "an important page is one that's unique content, is the most likely to be one of our keywords. For our purposes here unimportant pages are those that have little benefit for the search-engine users, such as contact pages, About us pages, etc.
Thus emphasize the important page by decreasing the number of links between unimportant pages. The important page is now receiving 1/2 the PageRank the unimportant pages are distributing.

ADD CONTENT :
SEOs often say: "Content is king", but what exactly qualifies as "content"? With regard to the PageRank sculpting, content refers to the pages. The more pages you have on your website, the higher is the maximum total PageRank.
Remember that the creation of new pages creates new PageRank, and if your site is well connected, then each new page offers a PageRank value of 1 in total on the website. (As a side note, do not forget that Google PageRank only on pages that they know, and that meets certain criteria of quality. In other words, the one million blank pages is not to increase your site total PageRank because Google is not to index one million blank pages. When we talk about "a page," it is assumed that the new page will be valuable and indexable, according to Google.)

SUBTRACT CONTENT :
Deduction is by far the most difficult PageRank sculpting concept to understand. Once you know that Google ranks pages - not websites - you can understand why we would be willing to sacrifice some level PageRank site for the sake of raising one side of the PageRank. If we remove a page from a system, as long as the system remains well-connected, then the whole system PageRank only decrease by 1. This is the same amount of PageRank, which added to a system if we are to add a new page.
In some cases, remove the page we have a PageRank value, which is higher than 1, but it makes no difference: The rest of the PageRank is redistribution to the remaining pages. As long as there is an increase in PageRank of other sites important to the entire system decline is warranted.

Thus the PageRank distribution and the choice of categorization are both aligned with the search activity of users.
